We present the construction of a new three-story modular school in Prague’s Zličín district, which shows that rapid construction can go hand in hand with quality, aesthetics, and comfort. The building was constructed in three months using a combination of 21 modules covering a total area of 211 m² and offers fully-fledged facilities for everyday school operations.
The school’s layout is designed with an emphasis on functionality and clarity. The building houses three spacious classrooms, staff rooms, cloakrooms, and complete sanitary facilities. The two-story design allowed for efficient use of the built-up area while maintaining the pleasant proportions of the building.
A striking feature of the building is the facade cladding, which combines natural wood with modern Alubond panels. This combination gives the school a contemporary look while also being durable and low-maintenance.
From a technical point of view, the building is designed with thermal comfort and energy efficiency in mind. Heating is provided by direct heating panels, which allow for quick temperature control in individual rooms. To ensure thermal comfort and high-quality insulation, PIR panels were used, which meet high standards for thermal insulation properties.
This modular school is proof that modern educational spaces can be created quickly, flexibly, and without compromise. It offers a high-quality environment for students and teachers alike and represents a smart solution for municipalities and investors looking for an effective way to build new school infrastructure.
